Artist Reception, May 2nd, 4pm - 6 pm ARTIST BIO I fell in love with clay as a healing modality, while working on a Master’s in Spirituality from the Institute of Culture and Creation Spirituality at Holy Names College, in Oakland, CA. I went on to get a Ph.D in Transpersonal Psychology at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, in Palo Alto, CA. After becoming a "Registered Expressive Arts Therapist", I developed a private practice in spiritual guidance/expressive arts, as well as taught transpersonal psychology and expressive arts at several universities, using clay with both clients and students. During that time I continued to explore my own personal spiritual journey through ceramics and mixed media. I am primarily self-taught, and find the experience of playing with clay continues to be a passion. For me, the evolutionary, symbolic process of working with clay is magical. I moved to Asheville in January to pursue art full time.
